Roasted Broccoli
Ingredients:
1. 2 big florets broccoli
2. 2 tbsp hemp oil
3. 1/4 tsp salt
4/ 1/4 tsp black pepper
5. 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
Instructions:
1. Put the oil and spices on the broccoli and rub well.
2. Once the broccoli has absorbed all in the ingredients, place on a baking sheet and put into the oven at 180 C for 20-25 minutes.
3. Once ready, let it cool down before we use it for the pasta!
Hemp Pesto
Ingredients:
1. 2 cups basil
2. 5 cloves garlic
3. 1 tbsp hemp hearts (seeds)
4. 2 tbsp lemon juice
5. 1/4 tsp salt
6. 1/4 tsp black pepper
7. 4 tbsp hemp oil
Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients into a food processor or blender.
2. Blend well until a smooth consistency is formed. If you would like to change the consistency of the pesto feel free to add 1-2 tbsp of water.
The Final Step
Ingredients:
1. 1 cup pasta
2. 1 tsp salt
3. 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4. The roasted broccoli
5. The hemp pesto
Instructions:
1. Boil pasta in a pot for 8-12 minutes (depending on which pasta).
2. Once the pasta is ready - in a large pan mix all the ready ingredients together. Check the seasoning and tweak it as per personal preference. Add a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to finish the dish and serve!
